Get ready to soar to new heights with MinRes Air’s brand new charter service from Perth Airport!
Mineral Resources’ very own airline, MinRes Air, has officially taken off! With their inaugural flight recently touched down in the Pilbara, carrying MinRes employees and contractors from Brisbane Airport to our Wodgina , Marble Bar and Ken’s Bore mine sites, situated in the West Pilbra ! This incredible journey spanned 3,600km and took just five hours and 40 minutes on our snazzy A319 aircraft.
Our planes aren’t just about getting you from A to B – they’re all about comfort and style. The new MinRes Air livery gleams on our aircraft, which have been refurbished to provide an extra 25cm of legroom, ensuring you travel in ultimate comfort.
Bethanie Ibrahim, our Executive General Manager of People, Facilities, and Logistics, couldn’t be more thrilled. “Seeing the MinRes colours proudly displayed on an aircraft is an incredibly exciting milestone for the business. MinRes Air is redefining the fly-in, fly-out employee experience by setting a new standard in the resources industry for facilities, food, and flights,” she shared.

For our initial services, we’ve partnered with Skytraders, an Australian-owned airline that has been flying the Brisbane-Pilbara route for us since January. Their expertise and dedication perfectly align with our vision.
But wait, there’s more! In the next phase, we’re launching flights between the MinRes Air terminal at Perth Airport and Ken’s Bore to service the Onslow Iron project. Onslow Iron, Australia’s newest iron ore project, delivered its first shipment in May and is on track to ramp up to a whopping 35 million tonnes per year by June 2025.
