Travel pass app’s to launch
for COVID-19 test results & vaccine certificates
As global vaccines roll out and countries begin to offer travel bubbles, airlines are now in full swing to create a digital ‘passport’ to allow quarantine-free travel.

Qantas is one of 18 airlines trialling the International Air Transport Association’s Travel Pass which can host passport details, Covid-19 test results and vaccination records. But one size doesn’t necessarily fit all, reports the The Australian Financial Review, with other programs such as Commonpass also being considered.

And many countries are introducing their own vaccination certification schemes and apps linked to healthcare records. Experts say for international travel to work, all information will have to be linked to a single source, which raises many privacy concerns.
